The 26th Annual Mid-South Emmy awards were held March 17th, and Concentrix won in two categories, both for the North Carolina Public TV documentary “North Carolina’s WW II Experience”.
The documentary was written, produced and directed by UNC-TV’s Scott Davis and Brenda Hughes of Wetbird Productions. Scott and Brenda shared in two nominations; Historical Documentary and Writer/Program. Scott and UNC-TV’s Len Faulconer also shared a nomination for the film’s promotional campaign.
Concentrix’s Anthony Fedele received an Emmy in the Audio category for his sound design and audio post-production work. Fred Story received a statue in the Music Composer/Arranger category for his original orchestral score. In reaction, Fred commented, “This project was a labor of love for everyone involved. We’re honored to have been recognized along with Brenda, Scott and everyone who worked on this amazing film.”
This is Anthony Fedele’s second Emmy nomination and first win. It’s Fred Story’s eighth nomination and fifth win. The Mid-South Emmy awards gala was held in the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
